Jubilee garden donation
Children at Netherfield Primary School have said a great big thank you to supermarket giant Tesco after their generous donation of plants for the school's jubilee garden.
Staff and pupils were delighted this week to receive a donation of flowers, plants, seeds and apple trees from Tesco. The plants will be used to create a commemorative garden - one of a host of celebrations at the Netherfield school to mark the Queen's 70 years on the throne.
The jubilee flowering garden, which children and staff will be busy planting this week, is designed to be enjoyed by children for years to come. It forms part of a range of celebrations for the platinum jubilee, which also includes a hat and card competition, learning about all the decades the Queen has reigned and a garden tea-party.
