Healthy eating project
Year 5 children from Netherfield Primary School have been taking part in a community healthy eating project.
Ten children from Netherfield joined 10 Colwick St John pupils for a visit to Carlton le Willows where they cooked a homemade chicken curry.
They were then given an opportunity to create healthy salad jars as a taste testing competition. Local councillors, including Deputy Mayor Coun Meredith Lawrence, were invited to the final at St George's Centre to judge the winning healthy salad jars.
The children picked their own ingredients and were encouraged to create the delicious mouth watering healthy food jars.
Three winners were chosen from each school, with CJ Schofiled, Emilia Marriott and Noah Adesuyan taking the prize for Netherfield.
